This painting “Late Night Jazz’d” 40″x 60″ is painted in oil over dream pages on panel. It’s inspired by the bar Jazz’d in City Market where Albert Seidl, Grant Nelson, and myself use to show artwork for several years. This painting is from 2007 and of another artist named Catherine who’s dream is in her figure in the painting. The City Market Art Center crew use to come down to this subterranean Jazz bar after every busy weekend and this painting encapsulates this era.
